Adam’s Missionary Letters #18

Adam’s Letters September 17, 1999

9-17-99

The love at the MTC is awesome. Tonight we did 7 district Interviews. I love interviewing my district. I get the chance to show them how much I love them. This district is awesome. Tonight an Elder got a blessing. He is having a particularly rough time. I was busy in an interview, but I heard the spirit felt there was amazing. These are the experiences missionaries are here for. Experiences like these build testimony, give strength, and change hearts.

This week a missionary in the district, has been having some problems. He got a letter from a girlfriend that upset him. I have felt impressed to share a certain scripture with him tomorrow; I think I will. Also I have made a goal to tell each of the Elders that I love and appreciate each one of them, when we go to the temple.

If you don’t lead with the right spirit, leadership callings can be lonely. The best way to approach concerns or misunderstandings is through love.

Dad, I got your letter. I am so excited to hear your thoughts about the priesthood being given to the Blacks. My companions read your testimony and we all can’t wait to hear more.

I have almost memorized the 2nd principle in the discussion. My Spanish is growing so fast.

Well, it’s late got to go, but before I would like to share something I learned in Jesus The Christ. It talks about Jesus in His youth and His growth. It says that as he grew it was from one grace to another, not from gracelessness to grace, from good to greater good, not from evil to good. This is so awesome and descriptive of Christ, proving that only He could have died for our sins and no other.
